Capote was Harper Lee's cousin and the inspiration for the character Dill in TKAM.

Some people go so far to say that TC actually wrote parts or all of TKAM.


I had heard that Truman Capote was the basis for Dill ... but I've never heard that Capote ghost-wrote any of "To Kill a Mockingbird." Do you believe that? Although I love his writing, I would be devastated if that is true, because I think so highly of Harper Lee. (Apparently she helped Capote research "In Cold Blood," so she is a character in the movie.)
