A week ago LHR was in Peoria at our high school reunion. Tonight she is sitting in her den holding her new son -- at long last. He arrived to his birth parents in late July and thanks to God and attentive folks at their adoption agency, he is now little brother to Miss Sophia, age 3. I just got the late-night phone call in which they announced, "We have a son!"

Wow!! Such great news and such an exciting new chapter! I am always overwhelmed by how the long night results in joy in the morning. Mostly I wish I could hug those birth parents to say, "Thank you for making a decision that will make so many people happy. Thanks for making this family complete."
